A loyalty program, end to end

Built a customer loyalty program across the mobile app and the backend: entry point, merchant and voucher redemption, points history and an API that awards points.

Context

A fintech savings platform wanted to reward customers for using the product. The program needed a home in the app and a backend that awards points reliably as payments happen.

What I did

Built the loyalty journeys in the Angular/Ionic app: home entry point, merchant and voucher redemption, points history
Integrated payment events so customers earn points as they use the product
Wrote the “earn points” API in C# with CQRS (MediatR), localisation and unit tests
